I feel like a lot of stuff has happened this past month. I got a new job, been featured on different websites, and decided to go to art school.
I had been unemployed for about 9 months and really had no luck at finding another job. Although I enjoyed being unemployed, my funds started to dwindle and finding a job became a necessity. I got a job merchandising and so far I like it. I've been working for about a month and the only thing I need to learn how to do is manage my time. One step at a time, I guess...
Since posting my lightsaber crochet hook tutorial I have been featured any many websites and blogs! I couldn't be more excited about it. They have sent a lot of traffic to my blog and I greatly appreciate it. It's kind of funny if you Google "lightsaber crochet hook," these websites show up before my blog. I've had a few sales on my Etsy and I'm even shipping an order out internationally! How exciting!
I've been trying to decide what I've wanted to do with my life since graduating high school and that was three years ago and still have had no luck. I went to community college for three years and I am no closer to a degree than I was when I started. I didn't really enjoy it but felt like I had to go. I was always told that to have a good life I have to have a degree. I don't know if I agree with that 100% but having a degree couldn't hurt. I have always enjoyed the arts and being able to express myself through photographs. When I was still in high school, I originally wanted to go to art school for photography but the cost was too high and everyone told me it was a waste of a degree. After wasting three years at community college I decided I might as well spend the money on a degree I will enjoy obtaining and be able to use it in a career I will enjoy doing. I don't have all the support I would like right now but I'm doing this for myself now.
I'm trying to blog more often and post some of the crafts I've been doing but I've been busy with work and I'm very bad at managing my time. I also got my phone stolen and I would take pictures with my cell phone so until I get a new phone (hopefully today) I will be back with a new craft blog!
